Artist-Kaiser Chiefs

Genre- Rock/Pop

Record company- B-unique records

mise en scene- the whole music video is shot against a green screen and is filmed in a studio to ensure the best quality of lighting. this music video uses lots of CGI and special effects to pull of the illusion that a city is being built around the band.
The persona's of the band are shown to be cool level headed people, this is shown by their ignorance of the city and what is going on around them. however the lead singer is shown to have a soft side as he is singing about love. The colour palette of the video is very brown and dull, this may have been done to show the boring nature of romance or simply to just make it look like everything in the video is just normal and nothing strange is going on, this would confuse the audience and make them more willing to continue watching

Camera techniques- the framing in this video is usually a wide angle or something that show a lot of the back and foreground, this emphasizes the importance of the city being built and how calmly the band reacts to it.

There are lots of fast cuts used in this video to emphasize the rushed nature of the building in contrast to the band, it also creates a fast pace for the video which corresponds to the tempo of the song.
