Shots in the style that i would like to attempt:

The style of music video that i would like to use is a very fast cut rate with lots of effects. it would include some form of minor narrative but most of the video would be composed of shots of the band, with some of the narrative scenes in between. i would also like to use some over-cranking and under-cranking as i like how it makes the scene look and it also changes the tempo of the video.

The colour palette that i would like to use in my music video would be lots of dull colours such as browns and dark yellows, however i would like to splash in some bright colours in time with the music to add emphasis to a certain point (these colours would be reds, yellows and oranges).

In my video i would like to use quite a loose narrative with very little in built meaning. i would do this to make sure to not detract from/ change the artists meanings by creating my own as i personally dont like it when this is done. Furthermore i would like to allow the viewer to think of their own narrative when viewing my video, forcing them to read between the lines and study the video to come to any conclusion as to what the narrative of the video is.

The conventions of this genre of music are very apparent, for example in most music video of this genre there is almost always a shot of the lead singer singing into a microphone, also another common shot is a close up on the guitarists guitar. in my music video i would like to conform to the conventions of this genre however i would also like to change some parts to suit my own style.
