The location that this video is set in is supposed to be in an american desert and is filmed against a green screen. This setting plays to the conventions of this genre but also throws a spin on it by using lots of film burns and shaky filming. the colour palette of this video also fits the conventions of this genre, that being lots of browns and dull colours.
the costumes they wear are not stereotypical of this genre of music however they don't really oppose the conventions of the genre.
The narrative of this video shows a man walking down a seemingly endless road only to reach the end and have it all repeat again
The camera techniques that are used in this video are mostly stationary body shots with quite a lot of extreme close-ups, these are being used to show the confusion of the character and to show that he is walking endlessly. the camera is also being film in a style that makes it look homemade by having the camera wobble and by using film burns and overlays.
this video uses lots of different editing styles including film burns and overlays as well as many cuts and transitions, one of the most noticeable things about the editing is that the pace of the cuts and the frequency of the overlays changes as the song progresses, this as shown by my other analyses which all share this concept which would suggest that it is a convention of quite a lot of genres of music.
